Fall Paducah Quilt Show 2017
Home of the National Quilt Museum and the original Hancock Fabric Store, the largest fabric store in the nation, Paducah is a small town of 26,000 people and is located in a scenic area where the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers meet.
Paducah is also known as Quilt City, USA because this bustling city transforms into a mecca for fiber artists when the American Quilters Society celebrates the AQS Spring Paducah QuiltWeek show and contest.
Inspired by Paducah’s strong sense of place, the event is a gigantic Quilt Show & Contest that also functions as an annual convention for quilters. At the Paducah AQS QuiltWeek Show 2017, hundreds of distinctly creative quilts will be on display, along with the offerings of a myriad of merchant booths.
At the annual AQS QuiltWeek Show & Contest you’ll see everything quilting – from classes, lectures, special events, demonstrations, and exhibits of quilts, quilts and more quilts. You can shop-till-you-drop for quilts, materials to make quilts, and quilt-related items at over 300 vendor booths. Over 400 quilt contests are conducted during the show. This makes the event “The World Series of Quilting.” You’ll see everything from antique quilts to wearables, to books, to crafting and sewing supplies, sewing machines, yard goods, linens, buttons and trims, patterns—an endless array of great items!
Paducah embraces the AQS QuiltWeek Show with quilt-related events throughout the city, window displays and church dinners. Celebrate the depth of the fiber art experience with the Rotary Antique Quilt Show, Fantastic Fibers at Yeiser Art Center, African American Underground Railroad Quilts at the Hotel Metropolitan, Eleanor Burns’ Quilt in a Day and so much more.
